We have just heard that the Royal Worcester China Company has beeen bought for £3.2 Million by Portmeirion Pottery. We understand that this does not include the manufacturing plant at Worcester but we hope to have further details in due course.
At least this keeps this famous old China Brand name in British ownership. Portmeirion is still based in Stoke and as well as making China in Stoke also outsources product from quality factories around the world. With sales of around £30 Million they are now one of our largest and in current climate most stable suppliers.
We look forward tgo positive developments particularly of the Jamie Oliver Tableware brand.
