Bohemia Crystal is the Trademark for Crystal and Glass that is manufactured in the former Czechoslovakia, now the Czeck and Slovak Republics. Crystal has been made in this region for centuries and is recognised the World over for the production of High Quality Hand Cut Crystal and Glassware.

These days glass is produced in a number of different glass melts the most popular in the quality side are:

Lead Crystal which contains 24% Lead Oxide which gives the glass clarity, brilliant shine and malleability. We would not recommend for the dishwasher.

Crystalite which is a lead free glass using alternative minerals including Titanium. Like Lead Crystal, Crystalite has good clarity and shine. In addition Titanium makes it more robust and it is dishwasher safe too.
